mr alex TATE is an interior design studio founded by Alex Alonso.  Alex started the studio with a vision of defining what he calls Modern American Maximalism - a bold, layered design philosophy built on fearless curation, where color, pattern, and texture mingle in an eclectic space.  In Miami, his studio is best known for his historical remodels like the Aventura and maximalist layers onto a bold, modern space like his Matheson project.  His projects have received national recognition in publications like The Wall Street Journal and The Robb Report.  His perspective on design has been showcased in industry publications like Architectural Digest and Elle Decor.  The studio's work stands out from the typical modern, minimalist Miami design by embracing color and personality versus opting for neutral, minimal palettes.  Beyond Miami and South Florida, his client roster spans nationally across the US and internationally to the Caribbean, the UK, and the EU.  

Growing up in Miami gave me intimate knowledge of what makes these luxury condo residences so alluring. Brickell, Downtown Miami, Sunny Isles, and Bal Harbour each pulse with their own rhythm—from Bal Harbour's understated elegance to Sunny Isles' gleaming sophistication and Brickell's cosmopolitan energy.
