WSJ | A Naples Transformation: Bold Design Beyond the Coast

When Ashley and Anthony Solomon decided their Naples home needed new life, they turned to Mr. Alex Tate to bring character, color, and personality into their living space. Originally designed with a minimalist palette of black, white, and tan, the couple’s home was due for a change—something expressive and full of warmth.

Designer Alex Alonso, founder of Mr. Alex Tate, approached the project as a study in contrast: blending the Solomons’ sophisticated sensibilities with his signature maximalist approach. The result is a living room layered with texture, art, and unexpected combinations—a space that reflects the couple’s story rather than a typical coastal aesthetic.

With a renovation investment of around $500,000, the transformation captures Mr. Alex Tate’s philosophy: creating interiors that feel deeply personal, globally inspired, and unapologetically vibrant.
