Alex Alonso, mr alex TATE's interior designer in South Florida, dives deep into The Art of Home. He shares how his travels has inspired and influenced his creative passion for interior design.

"What are your favorite design elements that are really having a moment?"

Alex: "Two elements, in particular, have me pretty pumped -- heavy-patterned wallpapers and brutalist lighting fixtures. I can't get enough of each. I have a slight affinity for the Victorian granny decor where anything can go if curated passionately, and heavy-patterned wallpaper sets the stage. Brutalist lighting fixtures are so underappreciated and I'm happy to see them popping up more. It's a good balance between art and function that makes for such a statement."
